The last thing I needed as someone eating less than usual was to explain why. Today was a festival, so my cousins were at home, creating a vibrant and festive atmosphere. It was indeed a fun and family-filled day. Being an Indian, especially from the north, it was hard to say no to tea (Chai, milk tea). I was never a big tea person, but I couldn’t deny that I enjoy it—I’m just very particular about how it should be made; it’s an art, and not everyone gets it right. Fortunately, there was one cup short, and I was able to skip it. Lunch was good; I ate more than I should have, mostly because I didn’t want to explain why, but also because I treated today as a cheat day. Today also happened to be my niece’s birthday, so I ended up eating cake—so sweet that it shook me for a minute.
By the end of the day, my calorie intake was very high. Thankfully, tomorrow is Tuesday, and it’s also the day for injecting Ozempic.
Lunch was idli and sambar. Dinner was rice and sambar. For snacks, I had idli, sambar, and aloo bhujia.
