Last night, I couldn’t sleep and felt quite awake, so I took a sleeping pill. I woke up late, feeling lazy, and didn’t meditate properly. I dragged myself through getting ready, and even washing up felt like a lousy process. Comparing natural sleep to medication-induced sleep—nature wins, 100%. It’s as if part of my brain is still asleep. Imagine a child waking up: sitting there with eyes open but no real sense of reality. In most cases, they’ll lie back down, roll over, and go back to sleep. It’s cute—unless you’re 45 years old.
Recently, I’ve noticed that in the morning, my cheeks feel like they’re sagging, as if they’re more affected by gravity than anything else. Heavy cheeks.
No breakfast.
No lunch.
Good dinner: Indian.
